Pursuing your dream career starts with the next phase of your education. When you enroll in graduate school at Adrian College, you’re beginning more than advanced training in your field; you’re accelerating your professional journey.
The Master of Science in Accountancy program provides students with a practical knowledge base to assist in passing the CPA exam and flourishing in a competitive job market. This is an innovative program designed to expand student knowledge and build critical skills to reach career goals.
Classes are scheduled to facilitate preparation for the CPA exam while simultaneously completing required coursework.
64.7% of Adrian College M.S. in Accountancy students pass the CPA exam. This rate is 11% higher than the MI average and 14% higher than the national average.
The Master of Science in Accountancy is awarded to students who have completed the 30 required credit hours. Additionally, a 3.0 cumulative GPA is required to continue in each program. Please review the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy in the Graduate Catalog for information regarding good academic standing.
Students eligible for admission have earned a bachelor’s degree with course work that is equivalent to the Adrian College Bachelor of Business Administration degree, including:
Minimum academic requirements are grade point averages of not less than 3.0 in undergraduate studies of accounting and not less than 3.0 overall.
Adrian College Undergraduates
Adrian College undergraduates are eligible for provisional admission through the 3+2 program if their cumulative undergraduate GPA is above 3.0. Alternatively, they may opt to earn their bachelor's degree before entering the master's program the following May, Summer, or Fall semester.
Prospective Graduate Students with Bachelor’s Degrees
Students who have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution are eligible for admission if they have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above. They may apply prior to the semester in which they wish to matriculate.
