Bulldog 101

High School students are invited to register for Bulldog 101

Students who graduate with a degree in broadcasting have a tremendous advantage in the professional world.

They develop a wide range of professional skills from video production, podcasting, television and radio production, sports broadcasting, and advanced audio production. After completing the core requirements for their degree students get to choose electives within the department that align with their career goals and cognate classes from around campus that strengthen content knowledge and diversify their skill set.

Students are also encouraged to pursue at least one professional internship or work for ACTV, the Adrian College sports broadcasting streaming service. The department has connections with local radio stations and television stations in Northwest Ohio for internships.

The U.S. Bureau of Job and Labor Statistics notes that jobs in media and communication are expected to grow 6 percent–on track with the national average for a healthy career outlook.

The rigorous curriculum in our bachelor of science degree ensures Adrian College graduates are prepared for the increasingly diverse skill set required of media professionals.
