Adrian College extends enrollment deposit deadline to June 1 due to FAFSA delays

ADRIAN — Adrian College announced a significant adjustment to its enrollment process today, providing prospective students and their families an extended enrollment deposit deadline of June 1. This decision, spearheaded by Adrian College Vice President for Enrollment and Student Affairs, Frank Hribar, is a response to delays in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process that have impacted the timely distribution of official financial aid awards.

Hribar said recognizing the importance of financial aid information in the decision-making process, Adrian College extended its time frame to enable families to submit their $350 enrollment deposit while still allowing sufficient time to review their official financial aid award. He added this adjustment supports students in staying current on critical aspects such as housing selection options, course scheduling, and onboarding communications.

Students who have submitted their enrollment deposit by the extended deadline will receive priority status in the official financial aid packaging process.

Hribar expressed his commitment to supporting families during these unprecedented times. “We understand the challenges that families are facing, and we want to make the enrollment and onboarding process as seamless as possible,” he said. “The extended enrollment deposit deadline is a direct response to the delays in the FAFSA process, ensuring that families have the time they need to make informed decisions about their educational journey at Adrian College.”

Prospective students and their families are encouraged to reach out to Adrian College’s Office of Admissions with any questions or concerns by calling 517.264.5161 or emailing admissions@adrian.edu.
